Jordan Hamann obtained their Bacherlor of Fine Arts in animation at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2017. They grew up in the small town Ham Lake, Minnesota. Originally on the path to become a biological engineer through an engineering program in high school, they switched gears when they started studying art and drawing in their sophomore year. That engineering and science background informs their growing interests in using art and animation not only for telling stories, but as a more accessible and entertaining way of educating and exploring academia.

Their work takes many forms between animated films, zines, illustrations, embroidery, and more. They focus on shape language and color and its relationship to narrative and character.
